Introducing Chiropractor, Dr. Colleen Pietrowski

Dr. Colleen Pietrowski earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences and her undergraduate degree from Richard Stockton University. Following completion of her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Pietrowski completed a certification program in Botanical Medicine through the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy/WCC. This specialization allows her to offer alternatives to drugs and manage health conditions with nutrition and supplements. She helps people with complicated conditions like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post-lyme, multiple chemical sensitivity, and sick-building syndrome, as well as with common conditions such as elevated cholesterol, type II diabetes, menopause, and PMS.

Dr. Pietrowski became interested in the health effects caused by biotoxins in 2003 when she met and participated in research with Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker. Since that time she has continued learning the latest research directly from Dr. Shoemaker, as well as from Ken Hudnell and Mark Menetrez at the EPA. In addition to learning from these researchers, she has spent the past five years reading and compiling the published medical literature relating to biotoxins, the health effects that they cause, and treatment options to help those impacted.

Dr. Pietrowski is in private practice at The Center for Advanced Physical health, located in Timonium. She is active in the community and chairs the Health and Safety Committee at her children’s elementary school.

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
Can chiropractic cure a child's ear infections?
Chiropractic isn't a cure for anything. Nor is it a treatment for ear infections. However, many children who suffer with ear infections also suffer from spinal problems in their neck, compromising nerves to the ear, depressing the immune system and preventing proper drainage. Can chiropractic help? Find out!
